Thank you for the welcoming Thaddeus! In short, this swimming journey has been aspirational and started with a ‘simple’ registration 15 years ago with a Learn -to - Swim program for my children at the pool. A generational change occurred for sure from that point! Spring Break 2019 is near and we’ll be starting our season of Learn -to- Swim at the beautiful Venetian Pool. Attending the South Florida Water Safety Symposium was a great introduction to the likes of you and others in the aquatic community. So glad to have meet you and this platform! Renee
Awesome time dude. Thanks again for the invite. Great workout and really cool tools. I look forward to exploring. "Let the water do the work."
LEONARD135@AOL.COM Hi Thaddeus,
Got your reply and sent a pic of me at the Nationals. Did you get it?
If not I'll try again.
About myself: Beside swimming I enjoy reading, painting, and tennis.
However, the courts where I play are being rebuilt so it will be awhile before I hit gain.
One of my grandsons has a friend who publishes so if he is interested I may have him publish my picture book about our coach and team THE AQUA DEMONETTES from the Wabash Y in Chicago. Wabash Y was the first Y in Chicago and we were the first black girls swim competitive team back then.
At 80 I am a great grandma who keeps on swimming. I have one great grand son who swims for his high school. All the grans swim.
Also...I just started a Masters Swimming Group on the south side of Chicago: The Ebony Mermaids...would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE if you came out to host a clinic dude that would be amazing. Right now I coach swimming (USMS certified) but will be getting my USAT Cert Level 1 this year as well. Yahoo! The black tri scene in Chicago is booming and would love to connect with you for sure.
