More about me:
I am originally a native of Detroit, Michigan and a second generation aquatics professional. I currently serve as the Association Aquatics Director for the YMCA of the Capital Area in Baton Rouge where I provide support and leadership to our aquatics team. I began my YMCA aquatic career 11 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia as a part time lifeguard, swim instructor, and youth swim team coach. I have held aquatic director and regional positions at several of the largest aquatic facilities in their respective associations; the Ed/Isakson Family YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta Association, the Roper, Golden Triangle, and Wayne Densch Family YMCA’s of the Central Florida YMCA Association, where I was involved in risk management, staff training and development for the association. I am a faculty level trainer in YMCA Aquatics for both Lifeguarding and Swim Lessons.
Certifications: National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) Instructor, Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor, ASHI CPR Instructor-Trainer, AHA Instructor, Red Cross WSI, and a Darkness to light stewards of children facilitator (Child Abuse Prevention).
