Absolutely! The youth shall be given the educational materials, to include DVD, prior to arrival at scuba camp. They will be encouraged to complete their Modular Reviews before coming to camp. Reviews will be discussed and all questions answered upon arrival. I will be happy to send you a complete outline of the program if you wish. Send me a mailing address. Thanks for asking.
Greetings Rick : There is a Youth Summit committee , we just got it posted to the NABS web site. All four regions are included on the committee. At this time we can only only have room for 40 youth and 10 chaperones.
Sorry for the double post, however, I started rambling and failed to address your concern for summit preparation. I have made plans to stay at the Plaza. I will be there from 1 - 12 Nov.
Did "Kokomo" and his family stay with you during the storm evacuation? I'm certain that was interesting as well. I haven't seen the brother since track season. I remember seeing him at an LSU meet this past spring. Only spoke with him briefly.
We are planning a family reunion for the paternal side of my family on 20 Sept. My fathers siblings have died with the exception of his youngest sister. She wants to see everyone for that reason.
I will be in Belize from 11 to 18 Oct. I will be doing some copywriting for a property management company I am familiar with in San Pedro. I will be busy for the remainder of this year and I really enjoy it that way. I don't think I had to be as commited during my career as a petroleum chemist.
See you Bonaire, for sure.
It's wonderful as always to hear from you.
We were the hurricane evacuation site for the family down in the "504". We had 20 evacuees in our home from 30 August to 3 September. It was interesting having them all here, however, we did what we had to do.
The strategy for moving to Baton Rouge was to never have the need to run from storm surge again. We can deal with the wind and rain. However there is no relief from the sunami. So, for that reason, Countess and I chose to buy this house. I will state that we didn't plan on it being a family evacuation center, though. Our original intentions included our daughters. One is single and the other is married with child and expecting. So, we are always prepared for that.
The others had evacuated to Dallas Tx for Katrina, however, they have gradually returned. Our greatest realization includes preparing for that mass of people. The only problem we had was loss of electrical power for 24 hours. That period of time without electrical power was very minimal in comparison to many other residents here in Baton Rouge. Some residents will be without power for another two weeks. That makes living in that situation somewhat of a challenge.
Welcom Ric to DAP - and thank you for comment on Josh's Legacy. I appreciated it and I am sure Josh did too. You are a scuba diver and that sounds exciting. What is the most interesting thing you found? Will you also join our FLOAT group? Peace , love & Blessings...........wanda - Josh's mom
