Hi Donald . . . we fared out well from Hurricane Irene, no damage, no mess, no loss of power, unlike many areas of Virginia and my city of Hampton. But it was not about me, there were many people hurting by this storm. Virginia is a very green state, literally, and as a result, there were many trees that fell on power lines all over the state. Many were left without electricity. We evacuated to Charlottesville in the mountains. Even though Virginia was declared a disaster area (flooding and down power lines), we were fortunate in that the eye of the storm stayed well off-shore eliminating potential for surges and more flooding. Do you know Honore Haydel? He was a classmate and teammate (swimming) at SU, and lives in Baton Rouge. Take care, the next time we are in Louisiana, I will look you up.
Brother Donald,
I hope you and the rest of the "Crescent City" family are alright! I tried to call you on my cell phone during the storm, "Gustave." but only got a busy signal on a cell phone line. I thought that was strange. "Kokomo" and the rest of the family came over to Florida for a few days before heading back this past Friday morning. "Ike" was heading this way, but so far, just a little wind and rain. Have you made any lodging plans for Bonaire?
- Ric P.
Ken...Let's get together on Monday, 8 Sept 2008. I should be available at 7:00 PM CST. I will call you if that's OK. If you need to call, (504) 390-3827.
We are dealing with a few storm issues, however, I have now become the official family evacuation center for those of us that still live in New Orleans.
Greetings Donald. August seems to be a very busy month for eveyone, can we start seriously working on the Archelogy scholarship in Key West in September ,so we can present it at the Summit in November. Looking at the cost of the scholarship the most espensive cost will be housing .I am working on that right now. I have several friends in Key West, and we are checking on housing.
What's up Donald!
I've been meaning to drop you a line since i joined. It's good to see our NABS family coming together on this site. Folks can keep in touch more frequent now.
Take care,
Cliff
Unfortuneatly this is a poor year for us, we are trying to buy a house so we are saving our money up for the downpayment. I wish we could go, sounds like fun. Are you doing any local trips for the Bon Temps, maybe we can come down and see you.
Donald,
Those plans sound good! Have a enjoyable trip with the Chi-town "Seals"in Hunduras! Tell Joyce that both my son, Victor and I wish her the best that life has to offer, as she celebrates another year of inhaling and exhaling. Happy Birthday Joyce!

Donald,
I'm glad that you at least made some contact with the "Brother" in Turks & Caicos. When you say Chesapeake, I think immediately of Maryland, D.C. area. My time is somewhat flexible so keep me up on the possibility of setting up a meeting.

Hey Donald, should have contacted you sooner than now. Are you connected with Southern U in any way? Just curious, SU is my alma mater. Take care.
