Hi Mariesa,

Errol Duplessis here. I was surfing the scuba membership and came across your information. I am sure that you and your club are getting lots of attention by now. But I was curious about your remark regarding the Atlanta Underwater Explorers. You mentioned that you are not associated with a dive shop or any certifying agency. Oh-hh-h, that makes your club a practicioner of isolationism, which means exclusivity rather than being inclusive. A dive shop owned by an African-American has no chance of being selected or doing business with your club. Also, by not being affiliated with an agency, your club cannot qualify for their liability insurance through an agency such as PADI, etc. I am not trying to be mean or rude, just asking questions, so please take no offense. For what it is worth, the scuba club at Hampton University was named the Underwater Explorers when it was formed in 1983; right now, the club is inactive. Take care.

How are you doing? Yes, I do surf. I just got into surfing this summer and I find it very relaxing and fun. I actually want to get good enough to visit this place http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZn8V7ZMk2U. Do you surf, why did you move out Virginia, where are you from, and are you coming back to Virginia?

Hello Mariesa,

I saw that you are in Jacksonville and a diver. We have a NABS club in Jax and I am the president of DIVERSe Orlando, a NABS affiliate in Orlando. Are you a regular diver? We do a lot of diving in Florida. Join us sometime. www.diverseorlando.org.

Hi Mariesa,
I'm a member of the Underwater Adventure Seekers (UAS) here in Washington, DC where I live. Dr. Jones has afforded us the opportunity to travel all over the world, in addition to pushing us to acquire additional cetrifications. Some of the pictures that I've shared were taken either in Barbados, Curacao, Bonaire, Fiji and Dominica. I'll look forward to sharing stories with you. Thank you for accepting me as a friend and for your comments.

You said you started diving in Guam. So I take it you were a military-kid? How is the diving on Guam? Is it true about the snake problem on the island? I'm full of questions, so bear with me.

Howdy Mariesa, thanks for taking a moment to visit my web page. It's still under construction. Underwater photography is a passion for me and I'm still working to capture that ultimate picture. My most recent trip was to Egypt. Diving the red sea was an adventure. Thanks for adding me as a friend. Happy bubbles to you and I look forward to talking again. Jimi

I started diving on believe it or not, a "double-dog-dare" back when I was living in FL. The hating the beach part was my first, last and only beach dive (St. Thomas). It took me weeks to get the sand out of my gear. Usually when you go to the beach, you find sand weeks later in places you didn't know you had! Even in the car you didn't drive to the beach! That's why I'm dock to boat to water only. I'll save the baech for nice evening stroles but even that'll be limited.

Who knew I could access this site through the firewall on my Volunteer San Diego computer?? Just snooping around, wanted to say hi! I go back to work on Monday, finally. But, until then, just volunteering. Love you! What's going on this weekend that you won't be around?

Thanks for the Love,

Yes the pictures with the cooler were the Striped Bass, and the ones on the boardwalk were the Porgies. Most of the pictures were taken on Long Island, in Montauk. We do a fishing vacation there every Oct.

Almost time to go again, I can't wait.

I have more picture I will be adding very soon, be on te lookout. Thanks for adding me as a friend, we will chat again soon.

Take care,

I was given a great opportunity to teach the adult swim lessons this summer.. however, I've only subbed one class and that was last year. I have no experience, maybe I'm just really nervous, but I can't even find a place to begin when it comes to teaching adults! This is the big break I've been looking for, but I don't even know how to start writing lesson plans. Help!

Got some fun news, training for a triathlon in September, and I'm picking up hours as an inclusion aid for the City. It's going to be a busy summer, but I'm crossing my fingers that you'll come visit me!
