Hi Jayson, thanks for accepting my invitation. I joined because of the movie, "White Wash", which I'm just now reviewing. I went to school with one of the commentators, Lee Pitts. After a little research, I stumbled on this very fine site. I'm impressed with the mission/vision. Much needed. Best regards!
Trying to locate a old friend and this link came up so I clicked and just entered my information. It seem interesting. My daughter love to swim. I will do more research into the program to see how this link could benefit me and/or my daughter. Thank you for the acceptance. Enjoy your weekend. GOD bless.
Hello Jason, thanks for welcoming me to your site. I first heard of the site on the National Black Heritage Championship Swim Meet website. Like Shana I am a physical therapist. I live in Trinidad, West-Indies where my two children, 7 and 10 and very enthusiastic swimmers. I try to explore all available resources to assist them in reaching their goals. I have promised them to learn to swim so we can have fun together at the pool.
Hi Jayson and Shaun. I am a physical therapist that loves to swim. I wrote an article about swimming that spoke of amputees in swimming. I am getting ready to submit the article but I need pictures of amputees and nonamputees swimming as well as performing core stabilization exercises that I have listed in the article. I would really love to showcase african american swimmers. Do you know of anyone that might be interested and available to meet sometime next week to have their picture taken either swimming or performing certain exercises? My email address is sgdolphin@gmail.com Thanks :)
I heard about you via the National Black Heritage Chamionship Swim Meet web site. I will be attending the event this weekend, for sure Sat, maybe Sun, hopefully both days. Every time I attend I get goose bumps and sometimes my eye's fell with tears. During the 50s and 60s this was without a doubt none exsistant. Its wounderfull to see so many Black children competing, but the most important point of all is the family support and they come from all over the U.S. What a wounderfull site to see. My heart fills with pride and is overjoyed that swimming is begining to take hold among Black American's who once, long, long ago, were considered among the best swimmers in the world.
Referred by Victoria Schmidt who belongs though a the Tour Boat Co.(Mary Jemison) on the Genesse River. I have also work with Lydia Bodie-Rice from America's Row Diversity that held an event in Rochester last year.
Hi Jayson. I heard about the site from Shaun he was at the first annual CARD meeting on Wednesday. I am so happy that more people are working on this issue that is dear to my heart.
Greetings! We discovered y'all through Rue Mapp, founder of Outdoor Afro;) We are excited to be jointly working on a project to inspire African Americans to get outside and enjoy more water recreational activities... i.e. swimming, paddling etc. We would love to work with y'all on this project as well! Please let me know the best way to contact you via email.
Hey Jayson. I read about this Site because I was looking up Swimmers like Michael Phelps and Cullen Jones, who both of those guys are my inspiration, i looked up on Youtube about Black Swimmers. I looked up the videos about the Swim meets and I was intrigued. I wanted to join a College where I can join a swim team. My community College doesn't have a Swim Team.

I was doing a general search and happened to come across the site. I must say it seems like you do a good job at creating awareness.
Heard about you from scuba diving associate at NABS .org
