Washington, DC  & Baltimore - Coppin State

Took a quick trip to DC this past weekend for the DC Parks & Rec Conference, they have a huge project in the works entitled “Generation Swim”, the plan is to combine the resources of Parks & Rec with the public schools in the district.  It will be interesting to see how the project unfolds.

Skipped over to Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD to stop in at their new pool which has numerous aquatic programs up and running with just the 2 years in the new facility.  It’s good to see this program flourishing, another excellent model for other HBCUs to follow.  Stay tuned for the video about how they are doing it!
