Competition: National ranking/ Olympic Trial qualification

So the meet is over now, but looking back on the week I think the cards fell in the spots they did- for a reason. I worked very hard to be where I am at right now but I dont think I could have done it with out trusting in the Lord and believing in what my coaches taught me.

OK so going back to day one, December 15th (One-meter qualifications) I was lucky enough to not have to compete because of placing in the top 8 of last years national ranking. I did watch teammates Ryan Helms and Brent Sterling as they did great jobs. There was around 65 males divers in this event alone. Each round was almost an hour long. (Meaning you do one dive wait an hour and go back out and do another dive) But with the experience of Division 1 competition they both made it to day two.

Day two, Dec 16th was my first day in the water. I dove in the prelims amongst the top divers who made it through the last round. with about 35 divers this round I needed to be at 100% to make it to the next round. Doing so along side of Brent and Ryan gave us all hope for a good day three.

Day three, Dec 17th was the real fun! Switching to the Three-meter spring board. Three-meter spring board was the real show of this week because there was not only a National ranking on the line but 12 spots to this years 2012 Olympics trials.

Cutting things short, every dive added up to a total score for the week in this event which all of the divers were ranked on.
