My daughter’s science teacher’s wife looked familiar. I knew I had seen her before; thought I’d met her before, but I couldn’t quite place her.

When I saw her at a friend’s surprise birthday party, I thought that was the connection. But this morning, I saw her at the pool.

I think that’s where I’d seen her before.

Last weekend, I went to a zumba party, and I saw someone else I’d met at the pool, years ago. Although my kids’ former swim coaches have all moved away, the synchronized swim coach is still here. She said she’s starting up her team again, this time at the Y. I thought, hmm, another obscure aquatics post is brewing…

Anyway, she told me to tell all the kids that synchro was starting up again. I told my kids, and I thought I’d spread the word to the two of you who read the blog. Thank you for your support!

Do you remember people you’ve met at the pool?
