The City of Atlanta Dolphins Swim Team ended 2011 with a historic win at the Georgia Short Course Senior State Swimming Championship Meet held in Athens at The University of Georgia Gabrielsen Natatorium, December 9-11.  Georgia Short Course Senior State Swimming Championship is scored by division (Small, Medium and Large Division).  Six teams in the small division participated in the meet.

CAD has never won a Senior State Championship meet.  Bringing home the small division win with four swimmers and no relays is a bona fide testament regarding the quality of the City of Atlanta Dolphins Competitive Swimming Program and the athletes who participate in it. “We are proud and happy for Erek Cox, Derek Cox, Fredrick King and Shayla King. They have worked consistently for years to reach their level of swimming. They have endured daily workouts and put in years of dedication, commitment, and courage to face the demanding training schedule,” says Coach Jackson.  “This has been a remarkable experience.”
