Hampton Roads, in particular Norfolk, VA, is an exceptional place to live and work with great many exceptional people. Look around you and you will see either a big little city or a little big city that not only has culture and the arts but also great athletes. Did you know thanks to Norfolk Southern and the expansion of the shipping pier this place now handles the most amounts of export and import in the United States. Mass transit that is the beginning of an entire system in a city that will only grow and grow and of course the strong possibility of an NBA franchise moving to the area. I like to think that no matter how big the Hampton Roads area will get it will always retain the goodness that can be found in culture and good traditions. One of those traditions is providing swimming opportunities and relief in the hot summer sun. Chesterfield swimming pool, established in July 28, 1972, is one of those traditions. This years team grew together and worked together all the more as the summer went by. I was blessed to work with many lifeguards. Thank you. My name is Robeson White and that’s where I stand.
