Any grant writers? Really, what about grant applications for others to see?

I'm working on a grant application, of sorts. I could use some help and input.

Are there any grant writers in the soup here? Can you self identify? Reply to this post please.

Furthermore, it would be great to have some grant template fodder for re-use in my grant applications. So, if others have finished grant applications and have wordsmithed some of the basics for aquatics, then I'd love to have those posted here, within the NING, too.

Grant application links can be posted in the comments. Perhaps it is better to put the whole grant application into its own post.

The Pittsburgh Public Schools are going to deply federal stimulus funds for summer enrichment for kids going into middle school (entering grades 6, 7 and 8) for a new five week program to run from July 12 to August 13, 2010. I'm putting in for a 'grant' of sorts to be a partner / provider with Pgh Public Schools so as to offer an afternoon aquatics program for kids who choose to do so.

One camp is slated for swimming and water polo.

Another camp is slated for junior lifeguards.

A third camp is with an Olympic spirit and it has five sports, one per week, to include: swimming, running, golf, cycling and volleyball.

Of course, we all know that kids in the city need to know how to swim. But, getting the right words to express that is sometimes a challenge.

I'll post my application drafts here, or pointers to them, in due time, as they are crafted.

Hi Mark,
Much luck and success in your endeavors for grant writing. I will be looking forward to seeing your example, to use with modifications for trying to either get a new pool constructed, or enclose an existing outdoor pool that is not being used for year-round usage. I wish I had those "Mad Skills" to help you achieve your objective. Keep on pushing and I'll keep on praying. Darrick
