Swimming for a Great Cause

One year ago I could not swim two yards. Today I completed two miles as part of a fundraiser for The American Red Cross. My swim buddies Leslie and Brandon knocked out four miles as part of the effort to raise money for the April Pools Day event hosted by Shaun Anderson of Norfolk State University. Shaun had a terrific event earlier this year where I had the pleasure of meeting Wanda Jean Butts, founder of the Josh Project. I hope you will check out Wanda's post to learn more about her mission.

Nine miles to go

Leslie encouraged me to work on logging my first 50 miles. I have about nine miles to go. Hope to finish in..let's say 10-15 days.
