- About Me:
- I am 37 female and african american. I live in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex in Texas. Last year I started taking swim lessons for the first time and would like to continue lessons so that I can be comfortable in deep water. I like to watch swimming on TV and my favorite athlete is Cullen Jones. I am very interested in reading the statistics about minorities and the higher rate of drowning. I can relate because most of my family members cant swim with the exception of my folks in California. I am really interested in programs that promote minorities and diversity in swimming like the make a splash foundation or the josh project. I think there should be more swim clinics aimed at minority adults who never really learned as kids.
