More about me:
I'm an Ironman triathlete who began swimming at age 4. I completed Ironman Cozumel in 2013 and will swim my first marathon swimming event, a 10K swim in August 2014. I've swam as long as 3 miles so I'm excited to jump into the world of marathon swimming.
I'm a USMS certified Level 2 swim coach and I coach about eight athletes all African-American women right now as well as lead OW swim sessions for various AA triathlon groups. In addition, I volunteer with a youth triathlon training program in Chicago called Tri-Masters I love swimming. I love its freedom and I am dedicated to teaching as many African-Americans the beauty of this sport as I can.

Well im just stoked at all the things aquatic enthusiat are involved in professionaly. As for myself, I have taught many classes of swimming, but my main focus is aquatic therapy. I am looking to organize a group of aquatic professionals that are interested in developing more aquatic base facilis mainly focusing in using water as a therapeutic tool, to increase range of motion, decrease stress, weight reduction..... So this is me....im really interested in getting involved on a profound level of professionalism....please post comments. I could be on this site all day getting connected to people who have the same interest. I would love to compete again. Mainly interested in Bi-athlons...I am.not able to run due to a physical impairment, however, swimming and biking is something I would love to get involved with. I have competed at the Masters level swim, and did some running back in the day. Loved it though.

Hi Ovetta Sampson, you're an IRONMAN!!!  Congrats,

I have shared your finish photo on our Tri Clinic FB page.  I learned from Shaun Anderson, that you did not know there is a DAP Triathlon Council.  I am the chair, and we hosted a Splash and Dash last year near Fort Lauderdale, which was done in conjunction with Black Girls Run South Florida.  We are also planning an event for this years convention, and would love your involvement and support, at least in having a bigger presence on this DAP website (most of my tri/swim circle is south florida).  Let me know if you're interested in helping out, and what organizations you already belong to.

I am a swimmer, triathlete, runner, cyclist and I am also a certified coach for all of the aforementioned sports.

Email me at info@swimtripros.com or call or text at 917-841-3681

Looking forward to hearing from you.
