More about me:
I am an amateur swimmer and historian from South Africa. Over a lifetime, I have derived enormous pleasure from aquatic pursuits, and the socio-political system and history of my country have meant that I have enjoyed (and continue to enjoy) massively privileged access to the water. At this stage of my life I want to listen, and learn what I can do to ensure that more South Africans are able to enjoy aquatic leisure, and that they are able to do so safely.
