My Goodness Marilyn,
I can see from my absence that you have been quite busy. Wonderful!!!!! My wife and I will look forward with great anticipation meeting you and probally hundreds of others from the swimming communities, along with John Cruzat. I am excited about the trip and what you are doing. If I need further directions or other information, may we call upon you for assistance?? But I will do everything within my strength and power to not bother you, if at all possible!!!! God Bless You My Sister, and keep on keeping on....Darrick..aka dswimmerman

Great John. I love to beg. Can USA Swimming send us some freebie after worship service. I am sure there will be children signing up for swimming that day. The YMCA will have a table set up to give out information for swimming lessons.

I just drug Wanda all over Chicago and cannot get her away for this although in the future I do plan to work with her schedule to comb the city of Columbia with me. I want to get Jim Ellis, Maritza, Sabir and others out there too to for the ongoing work.

We've got to get moving on this Marilyn; our babies are drowning by the dozens all over the country! Our invites should be back from the printers today and in the mail early this week. Please be looking for them. I've purchased my ticket and will be there late ont the 9th. It was the best I could do given my obligation in Toledo. We'll make it happen though. I'll call when I arrive.

Hi Marilyn,

Good to see you here! The invitations are coming along nicely and should be mailed soon. Our administrative staff has been stretched as we return from Omaha and Olympic Trials and prepare for our trip to Beijing. Thanks for all of the work you are doing on this event, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Hi Marilyn,
Haven't heard from you in a while. Keep us in prayer, because my wife and I are planning to come to The Great Brookland Bapt. Church on 8-10, to witness your awesome program, in West Columbia, SC. If we have permission, we'd like to video tape the program, so we can get an idea of what we will have to prepare for whenever we get a pool constructed. Please find out and see if this is permissable, and let me know asap. Thanx...Darrick.....dswimmerman

Dear Sister Marilyn,
Thanx so much for the invite to your church, and if it be the Lord's Will, I will be there. I would truly be interested in seeing how your church pulls off such an awesome program, so I may get some ideas and piggyback off yours. I wonder of the staggering statistics on the number of African American Children that can't swim(58%), how many are from the rural areas, as oppose to the urban areas? I certainly will ask John Cruzat, because I believe the numbers are greater in rural areas.. God Bless You My Sister for the fantastic job you are doing with both your children and your church.

Hi Marilyn,
I applaud you in supporting your daughter year round as a competitive swimmer. Continue the support all the way to the Olympics, when her times come. We are not seen enough swimming on t.v. God Bless You My Sister
