On July 30 my wife and I had the honor and privilege to attend the First Annual USRowing Diversity Invitational. For those of you who have never been to Rochester, I highly suggest you make a visit. I honestly felt as if Rochester is the friendliest city I have ever been to. Upon arriving to city limits, we…

Hi, Jayson. Here is a link: http://news92fm.com/?p=159472 Please let me know if I need to edit the credit information. Thanks so much for your help!
Additionally, I would love to talk with someone from your group about your mission, events, etc... I think it could be a great profile. Let me know if you are interested and who I might be able to speak with in regard to this. Make it a great day!

Thank you! I was actually mining for some photos of Mr. Johnnie Means. I am the Lead Online Editor for News92FM.com and we are profiling him as part of our Black History Month series. I saw the pics, found the site, and wanted to join to see if I could gain access to a few pictures.
I subscribe to _Aquatics International_, and saw mention of your organization there. I struggle with explaining to people why they should learn how to swim (apparently fun and safety aren't enough reasons), and wanted in! Will donate when I can. Thanks for such a project!
Hello Jayson. I was trying to find out information about the Josh Project for my two boys. If you have any information you can pass on to me it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Jayson,
I was conducting an internet search for the Josh Project Program (RAPS Swim Program at Norfolk State University. My daughter attended Leslie Paul's RAP Program in 2010 and I was really impressed with how Leslie works wth the kids.
Hello Jayson, I am very happy to be apart of Diversity In Aquatic. South Carolina does not have programs to exposure minority children to aquatic so most of the work in SC, I do alone. I am the coach of the Greenview Dolphin Swim Team in Columbia SC we are a USA and Summer league swim team we are trying to change the face of SC Swimming. I attend the 2011 Diversity Summit in Colorado Springs in November. Everything is new to me from a national perspective so there is so much for to learn. Thank-you
Thanks Jayson. I appreciate the reminder about the site and would like to include it in the next MPACTS newsletter. I'm glad to be a member and appreciate the intent and purpose of the site. Keep up the great work!
We're planning a masters meet this fall at Tennessee State University, attempting to resurrect some of the HBCU former swimmers/programs. Decades of exceptional swimmers came through these schools, so in an attempt to prove from an historical perspective how blacks and other minorities have made statements in swimming, in America, since the early part of the 1920's and before. So to answer your question, I stumbled across this site purely by accident. Glad that I did!
I found out about this website through Ken Roland of the City of Fort Lauderdale and through Rita Bourne of Bourne Swim Academy.
