More about me:
I am a public health professional interested in water-borne illness, prevention of drowning and aquatic injuries, improving the disparities that exist, and ensuring that minority children and adults have access to water safety and swimming instruction. I learned how to swim as a child but continued to have a lot of anxiety around the water until my late teens, and did not discover a passion for swimming as a regular fitness activity until my late 20's. I am now a Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, US Masters Swimmer, and Certified Pool Operator.

Hello David: Welcome to DAP and welcome to The Josh Project. I can see that we have some of the same interests and passions - teaching miniority children water safety and swimming to stop the drowning. I applaud your efforts. Together we CAN make a difference. Glad to know you - let's be friends. Josh's mom Wanda jean
