- About Me:
- I am a public health professional interested in water-borne illness, prevention of drowning and aquatic injuries, improving the disparities that exist, and ensuring that minority children and adults have access to water safety and swimming instruction. I learned how to swim as a child but continued to have a lot of anxiety around the water until my late teens, and did not discover a passion for swimming as a regular fitness activity until my late 20's. I am now a Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, US Masters Swimmer, and Certified Pool Operator.
