I am PADI certified Dive Master and Handicap Scuba Association Dive Master/Instructor. In addition to recreational SCUBA I am a volunteer Dive Master and
Board Member with the Diveheart Foundation out of Downers Grove Illinois. I work exclusively with Jim Elliott, the founder of Diveheart. Diveheart is a non-for-profit organization that teaches young adults with disabilities and military wounded veterans how to snorkel and or scuba dive. We at Diveheart focus on the principle that water is a forgiving weightless environment that allows for perfect buoyancy to individuals with physical disabilities who would otherwise have a difficult time on land. SCUBA is the tool that we use to increase an individual's self-esteem and level of confidence and enhances their efforts of realizing their full potential. It's also used as a building block to promote a Marine Corps " Can Do" attitude, which segues into other aspects of their lives....

No, coordinating the dive venue is the much able bodied and enthusiastic Deborah Gardner, she has planned six magnificent dives for us to occur during our seven day excursion to seven to nine different islands, thanks for asking. Ric, this would be the perfect live-a-board for you.......
Andrew forgot to mention that he along with me and others is a founding member of the Windy City SCUBA Diving Club in Chicago and will be traveling to Honduras next week. He is a patient person when he is teaching you something, has a big heart and although he looks very stern is a very big kid and loves to have fun.
Between you and Ric Powell, if a Brother doesn't create an interest in Scuba with yall's credentials and experiences, He's
Skurred(ebonics for scared). Welcome to the sight and I hope to receive some vital info regarding learning how to scuba dive in the future. God Bless You.
Welcome to the site! The diveheart organization looks to be an amazing program, keep up the good work & please let me know what I and the Diversity in Aquatics Program (DAP) can do to support you and the organization.
Andrew...I will see you guys in Honduras, brother. I got in on the deal within the past month as I was not sure of my schedule for that time. I am looking forward to diving with the Seals. It is always a fun time I have looked forward to for the past 3 years.
