This morning - March 14th - I swam from a place called Anita Rock back to the beach where my club The South End Rowing Club
resides. The day couldn't have been better, sunny skies, no winds, nice
water; 55F from my last count and better than the 54 I've been swimming
in all week! Towards the end of the swim I encountered a little head-on
battle with swells.  All of this got me to thinking; "I wonder how
things might be come my time to swim The Cook Strait?" I've been told
that it can be as glassy as all get out for the very few as is show in
this video below,

I guess I need to keep things in perspective and see how it goes because you never really do know, but I gotta say it's gonna be fun finding out!
