I'm posting this topic because I've heard from a number of people in dive clubs and from dive operators about how fewer and fewer people are scuba diving. I think one way to get more folks in the water is to find more local spots. The problem with that is local spots tend to be colder because they're usually lakes and quarries and the visibility isn't always the greatest so what can we do?

I'm open to any and all suggestions.
