There will probably be a few people who test their limits as well. When Blaine does it, it is in a very controlled setting with the necessary medical personnel available. It will not be the same for the average daredevil, and it's said they don't see that glaring difference between his stunt and theirs.

YES, ITS A LIVE SHOW. RIGHT NOW HE IS UNDERWATER BUT BREATHING IN OXYGEN, AND BLOWING BUBBLES THROUGH THE NOSE. THEY WILL PULL THE OXYGEN AND THEN HE HOLDS HIS BREATH.
