Expose minority children and parents to swimming with swimming lessons and a swim clinic. We will work with beginner swimmers in a swim lesson setting and competitive swimmers with a clinic working on strokes, turns, starts, and finishes. The Columbia Swim League (summer swim league) will have a stroke and turns clinic for parents to help them become summer league stroke and turn judges. SC Swimming with USA coaches and swimmers will help teach with area USA club information. USA Swimming will be in attendance to help promote diversity swimming in SC. The City of Columbia Fire Department will talk about Fire Safety and Richland County Sheriff Department with their "DARE" program. We will have Red Cross water safety information available. Free Health screening for adults and children.
