Join Rocking the Boat on Saturday, October 1st for the adventure of a lifetime: a day-long 28½ mile row around the entire island of Manhattan!
Leading up to the big row, participants will raise at least $1,000 each to support Rocking the Boat's innovative youth development programs in wooden boatbuilding, maritime skills, and environmental science.
Ten teams will circumnavigate the island in 26½-foot hand-built wooden rowing boats accompanied by Rocking the Boat students who will serve as coxswains. Three powerboats will offer support to ensure a safe voyage.
The row will start and end at Pier 40 at West Houston Street and the Hudson River. Following the row, participants will be treated to a well-deserved meal and an awards ceremony honoring the top fundraisers.
